No dance experience necessary! This is optimized for dancers to support and condition their bodies for dance, but this workshop is great for ANY body, dancer or not!
This live 2hr intensive workshop will start with an introduction to approaching fitness with a loving, healthy, body-positive &/or body-neutral mindset. We will also discuss mind/muscle connection, how to get to the most of your workout, & will include some basic techniques for foundational movements so that you can practice safely and effectively.
Then we will jump into a deep, juicy, sweaty workout specific for dancers (focusing on strength, balance, mobility, control & stamina) & will end with a really yummy stretch for relaxation & flexibility.
What you’ll need:
-A yoga mat (or rug or folded towel)
-A scarf (or rope or strap or band)
-Socks or gliders (plastic or paper plates work great on carpet)
-Water, and layers to adjust for temperature as we warm up and cool down.
Afterwards participants will receive a link to the recording, which will be accessible for 6 months.
